ACTIVITIES

Apart from the academics we have also aimed at the all round development of the personality of a child. With this regard we held various co-curricular activities sports and games in our vidyalaya.

SPORTS AND GAMES

we have regular morning PT at 5.30 to 6.00 am. And evening games at 5.00 to 6.00 pm. All students attend both morning PT and evening sports without fail. Games and Sports are given due importance in the personality development of the children. Morning jogging and exercises and evening games are obligatory for every child - unless they are medically recommended. Efforts will be made to make each each child proficient in minimum two outdoor games and two indoor games apart from two athletic events. A "Sports Committee" headed by the principal will monitor the development of games and sports activities. Out of the budgetary allotments of the funds, minimum 50-60% will be spent on non-consumable items and development permanent assets of the vidyalaya. Identifying talent, providing them training, etc., will be commenced right from the first day of the academic year. Avenues will be explored in consultation with the neighboring institutes and District Sports Council.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

                    

In order to provide opportunities for all round development of the children and to nuture their inherent talents, Co-curricular activities have been programmed throughout the the year as scheduled in the School Calendar. Apart from elocution,debate,essay writing,story writing,story telling,recitation and word building competitions in all three languages, art, singing, dance, quiz and rangoli competitions are also given place in the calendar. Moreover, every child is encouraged to participate in the Morning Assembly. Thus, the inherent "Stage Fear" of the children will gradually be eradicated. It is obligatory for every child to come front in the morning assembly. To bring out the hidden talents of the children both literary and cultural activities every Wednesday we are conducted CCA programmes. Inter house competitions were held to exhibit their talents and the gifted children were awarded.

PACE SETTING ACTIVITIES:-
   

As a model school of the Dist. our vidyalaya has also organized and arranged many useful progammes as pace setting activities.

Migration is one of the major pace setting activities of the samiti. Migrating 30% of class IX children from Hindi speaking area to non Hindi speaking area and vice-versa. Around 21 students of class IX are sent to JNV J.P.Nagar Uttar Pradesh every year. In the same way the students of JNV J.P.Nagar come to our school. All efforts are made to make them feel at home in the campus. And they are allowed to attend the phone calls of their parents, on second Saturday of the month.

During the Winter and summer vacation, we give computer literacy program to the neighborhood schools.                                                                                         Back
